SPRUCE CONE ARRANGEMENT
Festive table decoration with Christmas Rose flowers
Spruce cones, fir cones, larch cones or pine cones - for many people, cones and needle twigs are simply a must in any Christmas decoration. In our DIY project, spruce cones are dabbed with white paint and tied together with wire to make a chain. The spruce cone chain is then stuck all around a dry moss block wrapped with moss or lichen. Tubes in the dry moss block ensure a good water supply to the Christmas Rose flowers. The hairy surfaces of woundwort leaves that are glued together and stuck behind the cones create a cosy atmosphere round the Christmas table. Stick in a few small Christmas glitter balls and stars to match the colours of your tablecloth and tableware, and hey presto, there you have your festive decoration!
